‘He no Cheat’ in the Tabernacle

ST. GEORGE – Don’t miss the amazing musical story of Tony Ivins, (the namesake of Ivins, UT) on Wednesday, Oct. 13  at 7:00 p.m.  This production is free, dress is casual and everyone is welcome. Handicap access.

“Tony Ivins…. He no cheat!” is a quote from the Shiwitz Indians, and portrays the love and admiration of all who knew him. You will come to know “Tony” through the script, lyrics and music written by Nonie Sorensen, the beautiful voices of Robert and Peggy Proffit as actors/singers, and the dramatic narrating skill of Don Martindale. The music will be enhanced by Debbie Gubler on the cello.

Robert and Peggy Proffit are a talented duo.  Robert is a teacher and Coordinator of Professional Development for the Washington County School District.

Don Martindale is an experienced actor and singer and is beloved for his portrayals of Santa Claus, both locally and abroad.

Debbie Gubler is an accomplished cellist, wife of Attorney Phillip Gubler, and mother of four young children.

Nonie Sorensen is well known for her interest in history and her musical interpretations of historical figures. Much of her work is still used in Nauvoo, where she and her husband Maynard served for 15 years.
