I-15, Dixie Drive Interchange

Contract: Washington County Constructors

Location: St. George (Mileposts 5 – 6)

Activity:

Excavation on the northbound shoulder. Sheet pile wall construction continues on
the west side of the bridge. Northbound bridge construction is underway. Crews
are working on columns, parapets and the storm drain system for the northbound I-
15 bridge. The contractor continues forming columns and piers for the several
structures that will support ramps and the new interchange. Utility work is ongoing
adjacent to the Dixie Center parking lot.

Impact:

Northbound traffic has been shifted to the southbound side of the interstate near
the Santa Clara bridge. All exits are open and there are 2 lanes of traffic in each
direction. Speed is reduced to 55 m.p.h. The Hilton Drive trail is closed.

S.R. 9, 300 West To 800 North Hurricane

Contract: Interstate Rock Products

Location: Hurricane City State Street

Activity:

Median island work continues. Retaining wall construction and fence installation is
ongoing. Final pavement will be laid in the spring.

Impact:

From 100 East to 800 North, traffic runs one lane on each side of the road, leaving
the inside lanes closed to accommodate work on the center islands.
