HURRICANE – A fire alarm that caused Hurricane High School to be evacuated this afternoon turned out to be the cause of construction dust.

Fire Chief Tom Kuhlmann said the construction at HHS set off the alarm, and the students were never in any danger.

Multiple fire trucks and an ambulance remained on scene as firefighters worked to clear the fire alarm system so it would not be triggered a second time.
