KANAB, Utah – NASCAR driver Ryan Newman, who won the 2008 Daytona 500, will pay a volunteer visit to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab with his wife, Krissie Newman, Thursday, March 8. A film crew will be on hand to document the occasion.
Best Friends Animal Society invites all local NASCAR fans to come meet the Newmans from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and get their autographs. Copies of Newman’s book “Pit Road Pets” will be on sale for the discounted price of $10. Newman will sign books for those who purchase, but also sign his driver cards for all fans.
The Newmans will be at the animal sanctuary from 4 p.m. to 5.pm.
