Teens missing from Carbon County, public help requested

HELPER – The Helper City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in finding two Carbon County teens, missing since Nov. 29.

Police were notified about 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 29 that 17-year-old Mattea Jeffs and 16-year-old Jesse Turner were missing. Jeffs’ brother had last seen them about 30 minutes earlier, leaving the Jeffs’ family residence on 600 North Martin Road in Helper. They have not been heard from since.

Jeffs is described as a white female with red hair and green eyes. She is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She has a scar on her lower lip. She was last seen wearing a plaid jacket with tan coloring, jeans and DC brand shoes.

Turner is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. He has a scar on his abdomen and left middle finger. He was last seen wearing a gray Carbon Football sweater and jeans.

Jeffs and Turner are believed to be traveling together and may go to Nevada.
