MESQUITE, Nev. – The fun-filled weekend came to a close Saturday night with the Endurocross and the Nitro Circus Beyond Pro event. Dirt bikes, Quads, ATVs and UTVs raced side-by-side in an all-out, action-packed event that kept the excitement from the first night rolling.

“It was pandemonium,” “Cowboy Kenny” Bartram, beyond-pro winner, said. “Bikes and UTV’s are not necessarily meant to be together, but that’s kind of what Nitro Circus does; take stuff that isn’t meant to be and make it happen.”

The race ended the 3-day event with racing and tricks that many spectators, and even participants, were seeing for their first time. Freestyle lanes allowed riders to choose if they wanted to perform a trick or tackle an obstacle to continue down the track.

“There are so many things out there that you have to keep an eye on,” Nitro Circus announcer Laurette Nicoll said. “I was in the booth, and (announcer) Johnny had to hug me at one point because I was freaking out.”

Fortunately, the event took place free of any major injuries. The riders looked out for each other, kept safety a priority, and had a great time giving their all.

“Honestly, it’s a pretty typical Nitro Circus weekend,” Bartram said. “Every time I leave home people ask me where I’m going and I say ‘something to do with Nitro Circus’, and they say ‘what are you doing?’, and I say I don’t know; I just pack every piece of protective equipment I have, show up, and hope for the best.”

Bartram was joined by his wife, Kimberly, and his 5-year-old son on the track.

“I was more nervous when the UTVs were out there because I’m not used to seeing it when he’s riding,” Kimberly Bartram said. “Freestyle is usually just Kenny, and I’m not so nervous. Tonight was nerve-wracking, but I was glad to see him walk away with a win.”

The Nitro Circus continues to amaze crowds, and produce some of the wildest stunts and events known to the extreme sports world.

Thanks for doing a story on this event, it’s great to see local coverage of motor sports.

Quad rider N352 is Colt Brinkerhoff, of St. George! He dominated the quad race, and was the only quad to qualify of the “Beyond Pro” race, where he put on quite a show jumping the ramps, smoking the cars and chasing the bikes.

The USRA Rhino Rally was held in Warner Valley on Saturday the 23rd as well, which was won by St. George’s own Skyler Howes.

I was at both events supporting our riders for Fasst Company, which include Colt and Skyler who also work at Fasst Company. As a former California based brand we are stoked to be part of a community that supports motor sports and is home to exceptional events such as these.
