ST. GEORGE – Pornography is rampant in our schools, homes, and in our world. Desert Solace, a residential recovery center for those struggling with pornography addiction recognizes this problem starts early.
“We are on a campaign to educate our community and families on the destructive, long and short term effects of viewing pornographic materials,” Family Liaison Jerri Jorgensen said. “Please join us tonight at 7 p.m. at Desert Hills High School for an hour of education with our clinical director and staff on how to talk you your child about pornography.”
Desert Solace will be providing kits with information, pledge cards, and stickers to put on cell phones, computers, and other devices as families and kids commit to “clean devices.”
“Join us in this battle,” Jorgensen said.

Porn is just as much a part of growing up as is going thru puberty. The school district needs to focus on real issues like bullying, drugs, gangs and youth sex
I don’t personally approve of porn. I don’t see how it’s anyone’s business if someone else does though. What goes on behind closed doors is none of anyone’s business. The issues Preston stated above need to be addressed before we start freaking out that 15 yr old John is watching porn. If he’s watching it, at least he’s not out doing it, causing unwanted pregnancies, the spread of STDs and such. Better it go into a sock than 15 yr old Jane.
