ST. GEORGE — A motorcycle rider collided with an SUV on River Road in St. George Tuesday afternoon, sustaining minor injuries.
The male driver of a green motorcycle pulled out of the shopping parking lot in front of Target on River Road at about 3:40 p.m. and headed south.
The driver didn’t check his blind spot when merging into the travel lane, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said, and then collided with the female driver of a gray Buick Enclave near 400 S. River Road.
The motorcycle driver sustained minor injuries, Despain said, and went to the hospital on his own for evaluation after mentioning that his ankle was in pain. An Ambulance arrived on the scene, but the driver had already taken himself to the hospital. The driver of the Enclave sustained no injuries at all, and her vehicle also sustained no damage.
Despain said a citation was issued to the driver for improper lane change.
