SANTA CLARA – Around 11:30 a.m. Monday, a medical issue resulted in a three-car collision at the intersection of Santa Clara Drive and Canyon View Drive in Santa Clara.

The driver of a small red truck had a medical issue, Santa Clara-Ivins public safety Officer Chad Holt said, causing the truck to collide with two other vehicles turning left.

Ivins City Ambulance was called to the scene of the accident; however, no one involved was transported.

Traffic was blocked for about 45 minutes while emergency crews worked to clean up the accident.

“No one was cited in this case,” Holt said. “Two cars were towed from the scene while the third was driven off by the owner.”

This report is based on preliminary information and may not contain the full scope of findings.

No one was charged? Surely the driver of the red pick-up truck should have been given some sort of citation.

At the least, you’d think he/she would have been taken to the hospital for observation.

That would be so scary to have a medical issue while driving! Glad everyone is OK.
