WASHINGTON COUNTY – Utah Highway Patrol has released the name of a woman killed Thursday in a rollover on Interstate 15 near Leeds and Silver Reef.
At approximately 2:39 p.m., Angel Stringfellow, 19, of Ogden, was driving a black 1997 Honda Civic southbound on I-15 near milepost 34 with a 19-year-old female passenger, also of Ogden, riding in the vehicle with her. The Honda was in the right-hand lane, passing a large passenger bus, when Stringfellow apparently lost control of the vehicle, according to information from UHP. The Honda slid off the right side of the freeway, traveled down a steep embankment and rolled into a large juniper tree. The vehicle came to rest on its left side, facing north. Neither Stringfellow nor the passenger was wearing a seat belt at the time of accident. Both were ejected from the vehicle as it rolled.
Stringfellow was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the vehicle was transported by Life Flight to Dixie Regional Medical Center and is in critical condition at the time of this publication.
Speed, though not excessive, and poor tires on the front of the vehicle are being investigated as having possibly influenced the outcome of the crash.
“If worn, seat belts could have saved a life in this crash,” a statement from UHP said.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

So young. RIP. Prayers are with her family.
I feel bad for her and her family, but look at those front tires, they are completely bald.
I don’t understand people driving any where with bald front tires such as these. Sad situation that could have been prevented plus no seat belts usage…

Please do not assume you know the factors. I know this family well and they are grieving beyond anything you will understand. Your comments if seen by them only makes both families hurt worse. You do not know the truths or factors. Just pray for all involved.
Excellent story details and photos .
This site is clearly wayyyyyy better than any other news sources in the county .
It could end up the primary one in a few years .
Sadly many young people are lucky to have rent money .
I suspect car expenses often come in last after rent , groceries and utilities .
Condolences to the families .
thank-you StG News !
Two families destroyed.
Maybe whoever inspected the car thought they were racing slicks? Those inspectors aren’t always real bright…
She was one of my best friends and she going to see me last night but never made it, i will miss you Angel
Did you know about the tires?
Sorry for your loss, so young.
I am a friend of the family of the girl who died in this car accident. Do not assume alcohol or drugs. That was NOT a factor. The world is so quick to judge teens or their parents for anything that goes wrong now days. It was an ACCIDENT not done intentionally. Suing an already grieving family does NOTHING. Angel was a beautiful and bright young lady and her mother is a good parent. Judge not.. Instead how about offering a kind word for both families or even a prayer. Poor judgement or lack of finances for new tires or whatever may have happened does not constitute someone slamming these young woman or her family. Also for the love of God don’t assume and publicly write such crap for them to have to read.
I’m curious of who passed the inspection on the car w/ tires that are likely yrs old?
That was the first thing that crossed my mind as well. Whoever did the safety inspection on the last registration needs to be investigated.
My condolences to the family.
would be nice to see the speed limit reduced on those curves up there also… RIP
