HURRICANE – Chronic pain and spine treatment opportunities will expand for Southern Utah residents with the opening of Southwest Spine and Pain Center’s fifth pain management facility. The new clinic will be located in Hurricane and will provide a number of pain management treatment options, including injection therapies, pain rehabilitation and minimally invasive spine procedures.
“Millions suffer from chronic pain worldwide, and currently, pain affects more Americans than diabetes, coronary heart disease, and cancer combined,” said the center’s founding partner Dr. Derek Frieden. “Our goal is to establish world-class pain care for this region and service those suffering in silence.”
The pain management specialists at the Spine and Pain Center opened their first practice in St. George in 2011. Since then, the three founding partners, Dr. Rick Obray, Dr. Jon Obray and Dr. Derek Frieden, have opened four other pain management clinics, located in Cedar City, Richfield, Logan and now Hurricane.
The three physicians bring expertise and their training from institutions like Harvard and Mayo Clinic to Hurricane.
“Having grown up in Utah, the other physicians and I understand the need to bring first-class care to small towns,” said founding partner Dr. Jon Obray. “Patients living in rural areas have needs too and many of them travel long distances to receive adequate pain relief. We opened this clinic to help individuals access advanced, minimally invasive spine and pain treatment, as well as affordable and compassionate patient care.”
Much like the other Southwest Spine and Pain clinics, the Hurricane location will provide pain management care. The Hurricane clinic is located at 25 N. 2000 W., Suite 8, in Hurricane and will be open five days a week. Consultations can be scheduled by calling 435-635-0174.

Just what St. George needs; another practitioner of pseudoscience. What’s the deal with Utah and their love for quackery. Chiropractors are NOT medical doctors.
I thought they were chiropractic practitioners too TEVAS. Put “spine” in your practice name, you’ll get mistaken for a chiropractor.
**correction** this should read:

DHT, I’m pretty sure this is what you’re appreciating; but just in case: The practitioners at Southwest Spine and Pain Center are medical doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Here is a link to their current Web page showing the center’s staff and credentials:
