HURRICANE – A woman escaped injury Thursday night after her car rolled on Sand Hollow Road in Hurricane.
Around 8:20 p.m., Hurricane Police officers were alerted to a vehicle rollover in the area of 3000 S. Sand Hollow Road, Hurricane Police Sgt. Brandon Buell said.
The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was traveling northbound on Sand Hollow Road approaching 3000 South when she took a turn “a little too fast,” Buell said.
The woman’s car began to slide and she overcorrected, causing the car to leave the roadway and roll, landing upside down. The driver came out of the rollover uninjured, however, which Buell credited to her wearing her seat belt at the time.
The car had to be towed from the scene, and the incident remains under investigation, Buell said.
In additional to Hurricane Police, Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue and rangers from Sand Hollow State Park also responded to the crash.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
