Cars are on display at all the casino properties in Mesquite showcasing a wide variety of vehicles from old school classics to street rods and more.

The three-day, family-friendly event is one of the biggest events in the community for the whole year, Christian Adderson, corporate sales manager for Mesquite Gaming, said, highlighting not only the cars but the city itself.

“People just enjoy Mesquite and enjoy all the classic cars rolling around town that bring back the nostalgia of years ago,” Adderson said.

More than 260 awards will be given out during the event including awards for the Top 150 cars, dignitary and sponsor awards as well as cash and drawing prizes, Adderson said in a previous interview.

One of the first car shows of the year, “Mesquite Motor Mania” is quickly becoming a must-attend event for car lovers to take advantage of the warmer winter weather found in Mesquite and jump-start their car show season.

The jam-packed car show includes exciting activities such as slow drags, burn-outs and roaring-engine competitions as well as an open-header cruise that features hundreds of the participating cars parading through the town.

“Mesquite Motor Mania” continues Saturday and Sunday and is free to the public.

Music to match the motors

In addition to the car show, the CasaBlana Resort and Casino, located at 950 W. Mesquite Blvd., has a Saturday night musical act in its showroom to keep your engines revved into the night.

Mick Adams and The Stones, a tribute to the Rolling Stones, bring what is billed as a high-energy show honoring what some call the greatest rock and roll band in history. Advance ticket purchases range from $15-$30 and can be purchased online, by phone at 1-800-585-3737 or in person at the CasaBlanca front desk. Additional charges apply for tickets purchased on the day of the events. The show is for people 21-and-over only.
