Thousands enjoy ‘Parade of Homes’; final weekend

ST. GEORGE– The 2016 “St. George Area Parade of Homes” saw an incredibly successful first weekend, according to a news release, and continues to inspire visitors with beautifully crafted designs stunning modern amenities through Saturday and Sunday.

“This is not the year to miss the Parade of Homes,” said Mari Krashowetz, Southern Utah Home Builders Association executive officer. “Visitors will experience a home show like no other.”

Beautiful, fresh designs are on display in 28 stunning homes throughout St. George, Washington, Ivins and Hurricane. Homes will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Presented by SUHBA and Zions Bank, the “St. George Area Parade of Homes” is the largest in attendance in the state, according to its news release.

The theme for this year’s home show is “Five Stars,” which reflects the careful craftsmanship each home displays. Thirteen of the homes are valued at more than $1 million, with five of those more than $2 million. The most expensive featured home is $3.99 million and the two least expensive homes are priced at $319,900.

“All the building industry professionals who were involved in this year’s Parade of Homes are very talented craftsmen,” Krashowetz said. “The details and workmanship in the homes are amazing this year. Each home is a work-of-art.”

Kason Traveller of K.H. Traveller Custom Homes, builder of the show’s Home 24 in the luxury gated community of Stone Cliff, said building the home, called “Arabesque,” for a celebrity was a fun process that turned into something pretty magical.

With the gorgeous red rock backdrop and sunny skies in St. George, the Parade of Homes, attendees can take their time enjoying the outdoors and viewing some of the gorgeous landscapes and gardens these homes display.

“The weather has been perfect,” Krashowetz said. “The homes were very busy this past weekend, so now is a great time to attend as there will be less traffic.”

Tickets are $15 and are still available online at www.paradehomes.com. They are also available to purchase at the Red Cliffs Mall and Lin’s Market locations. For anyone who purchases an online ticket, maps and addresses are available online.
