ST. GEORGE — More booths, a climbing wall, great music and wonderful weather all combined into a perfect George Streetfest Friday night in St. George.
The monthly event downtown on Main Street went off without a hitch as people showed up in droves to take advantage of the warm evening. Music from ragtime pianist Mimi Blais cheered the festive crowd with classic Ragtime favorites and original compositions, while Dick Earl and Electric Witness brought the crowd to its feet with rollicking rock and blues.
Food from the on-site vendors was plentiful and lines were long, but well worth the wait. The event this month was expanded into a second street and the pleasant evening atmosphere attracted many people to the downtown area.
