HURRICANE — A man was seriously injured Saturday afternoon when he rode his dirt bike into the side of a house.
“We have a 53-year-old male with serious injuries,” Hurricane Police officer Jeff Adams said, “who was riding a dirt bike on the roadway and lost control.”
The motorcycle left the road at approximately 3:15 p.m. and hit a house at 4345 W. 2700 South, just north of the Sand Hollow Reservoir.
“The male did lose consciousness briefly,” Adams said, “and was transported by medical personnel from Hurricane Fire to Dixie Regional Medical Center (in St. George).”
Adams said the crash is still under investigation and no citations have been issued.
“At this time it looks like it’s just the single vehicle – the motorcycle – and the driver lost control of it,” Adams said. “It does not appear that any other vehicle was involved in this.”
Hurricane Police Department and Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue responded to the incident.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
