Police locate Mormon missionary reported missing in Ogden

ST. GEORGE — The Mormon missionary reportedly missing since Monday night has been located in Ogden, police said Wednesday afternoon.

Ogden Police and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints asked for the public’s help in locating Sister Heeji Nada Kang, 20, who had not been seen or heard from since leaving her Ogden apartment on foot Monday evening.

Approximately 40 hours after she was last seen, Ogden Police said Kang was “found unharmed and well.”

Kang was emotionally distressed when she was last seen, the LDS Church said in a media statement Tuesday, adding that no foul play was suspected in her disappearance.

Kang is from The Woodlands, Texas, and has been serving as a full-time missionary in the Utah Ogden Mission.

Unbelievable! We don’t get to know where she was for 40 hours?

NO! That would take too much effort–phone calls, etc…

Maybe, just maybe it is none of our business. It said she was emotionally distressed. She has been found, and hopefully getting the help she needs.
