GRAND CANYON, Ariz.  On Friday, park rangers responded to a call from hikers on the South Kaibab Trail reporting a woman who fell from Ooh Aah Point.

Responding rangers located the body of Colleen Burns, 35 of Orlando, Florida, approximately 400 feet below Ooh Aah Point.

Burns had been hiking and taking photographs with friends for sunrise when she accidentally stepped off the edge of the trail. Ooh Aah Point is approximately 1 mile from the South Kaibab trailhead, which is located on the South Rim.

The South Kaibab Trail is one of the few trails in the park that follows ridge lines as opposed to side canyons. As such, it is a popular trail for its unobstructed views of the canyon.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner. According to the park’s news release, no additional information is available at this time.

You left out some information on this story:
    1. She was the Orlando Director for ‘Yelp’.
    2. She was gay.
    3. I’m betting she was taking a selfie or she was hunting/playing Pokemon Go.

    Questions:
    1. Will this effect the Yelp rating for the Grand Canyon. “Too hot. Too steep. Hard ground. Poor customer service. I will never come back here ever!”.
    2. Canyons hate gay people. This was clearly an act of microaggression.
    3. People don’t kill people, big holes in the ground kill people.
    4. Is it time to outlaw canyons?
    5. Don’t take selfies near 400′ cliffs.
    6. Democrats are really stupid.
