ST. GEORGE — Check your cupboards. Krusteaz Blueberry Pancake Mix manufactured between April 2016 and June 2016 has been recalled by the manufacturer.
Continental Mills, the manufacturer of Krusteaz mixes, was notified by a supplier that a blueberry nugget used in the mix may be contaminated with E. coli O121, a potentially deadly bacterium that can cause dehydration, among other symptoms.
“The quality and safety of our products is of the utmost importance and we are doing everything possible to ensure our customers have all of the pertinent information,” Continental Mills president Andy Heily said.
The recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
