PANGUITCH CITY – Local law enforcement authorities drove 70 miles Sunday afternoon from Cedar City to serve a search warrant on a residence in Panguitch City where they believed a shooting suspect was holed up.
Iron Metro SWAT Team served a search warrant at sundown to a Panguitch City residence located behind the Canyon Lodge at 210 N. Main St.
The warrant was served based on reports that Mark Mair, who is wanted in connection with an early morning shooting Sunday, was in the home. However, by the time they arrived on scene, the 27-year-old was gone.

Sources said the home belongs to the son of Michelle Partridge, who police said is believed to be with the suspect.
Authorities did not provide additional information on where Mair may have gone or his mode of transportation. Sources said he was seen leaving the home at around 2 p.m.
Earlier reports said he was in a tan or gold sedan passenger car, but authorities now believe he may have changed vehicles and may be driving an SUV, Cedar City Police Sgt. Jerry Womack said.
Cedar City News, who was on scene when the warrant was served, saw authorities tow a Dodge Durango from the home where police were searching for Mair.
In addition, prior to serving the warrant in Panguitch, Cedar City News confirmed police served another search warrant in connection with the suspect at the Travel Lodge, located at 2555 Freeway Drive in Cedar City, at approximately 5 p.m.
Mair is 5 feet 7 inches with a stocky build. He has a Playboy Bunny tattooed on the left side of his neck.
The suspect is known to have brown, short-cropped hair and a patch of beard on his chin. However, information gathered from the search warrants leads officers to believe Mair may have changed his appearance by shaving his head and removing any facial hair, Womack said.
Mair is considered armed and dangerous. He is believed to be in possession of several weapons, including the .40 caliber handgun that was used at the scene of the crime, an additional handgun, an SKS rifle and a sawed-off shotgun.
Police are asking the public to please keep their distance and not to approach the suspect if seen.

Hope the police are checking businesses that remove tattoos because that Playboy Bunny tattoo on his neck would be a big giveaway. Perhaps he’s wearing turtle necks to cover up. Also a big give away. Seems if you’re going to be a crook and a jerk you might want to not have something so obvious but then…
he’s got them crazy eyes. Looks like the type that would shoot it out with police…
Panguitch City is not the name of the place! You have been following the mistake of the City Council of Washington for a long time now, but there is no way you can justify labeling this city Panguitch City. Are you going to start putting “City” on the end of every city’s name? It is Panguitch. Please correct your mistake.
By the way, there is a difference between the City of Washington and Washington City. One is a government corporation, and one is a city name that doesn’t exist anywhere in the USA.
What a Real Low Life. !
