KANAB — Bureau of Land Management’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument invites everyone to help celebrate its 20th Anniversary by exploring 10 years of research discoveries on public lands.

The monument’s Third Science Symposium will be held in Kanab and Escalante for three days, Aug. 2-4, with phenomenal field trip opportunities in what the BLM called in its news release “the nation’s largest outdoor laboratory.”

From the thrill of dinosaurs to the unsolved mysteries of ancient peoples, world-renowned scientists and local experts will be the guides.  the public is invited to come learn how some of the nation’s most visually-stunning landscapes have microbes to thank.

All events are free, although all guided field trips on Aug. 3 will require personal transportation (many of which require four-wheel drive high-clearance vehicles or carpooling).

Science presentations and field trips are possible with the generosity of many volunteers, partners and supporters of this, and all other, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument 20th Anniversary events.

We Republicans don’t need no science. What we feel in our guts is true. We follow the strong firebrands like Mike Noel and The Donald… they tell it like it is, as opposed to them limp wristed college prefessors.
