Film Fanatics: Comic intelligence on ‘Suicide Squad,’ ‘Jason Bourne’

REVIEW – Villains, victims, politics, heroics and espionage, what more could a moviegoer ask for?  “Film Fanatics” co-hosts Bruce Bennett and Adam Mast spy on the ins and outs and what they’re all about, these latest big screen action thrillers that encompass those characteristics and more: “Suicide Squad” and “Jason Bourne.”

With the DC Comics-based “Suicide Squad,” writer/director David Ayer sets out to show audiences what DC’s most famous villains are made of. It’s an all-star baddie epic and the Film Fanatics examine whether it lives up to the the hype or perhaps crashes and burns.

“Jason Bourne” reunites director Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon in an all new spy and espionage thriller set in a contemporary political climate, which begs the question: Is Jason “Bourne” again or should the franchise have ended with “Ultimatum”?
