The evening’s festivities will include a silent auction, good food and music to shake your tail feathers to. Proceeds from the event will go to help build the new Washington County animal shelter.

Entertainment at the event will also include a fashion show with both humans and four-legged friends draped in the finest of fashions from PAWSitively Unique Boutique.

“I promise you a fun evening,” event organizer Mary Bemis said in a press release, “and we can all feel good knowing we have all helped in some way to make life better for those animals who are now receiving no care.”

The new shelter is slated to be built near Purgatory Correctional Facility. Inmates will be utilized to help build and run the shelter in an effort to rehabilitate both animals and inmates.
