September’s spotlights

Boasting almost 11,000 competitors in 2017 from around the world, this year’s Huntsman World Senior Games kick off Oct. 8 and are open to men and women 50 years of age and older.

The games started in 1987 as simply the “World Senior Games,” as the brainchild of Daisy and John H. Morgan. The Huntsman Corporation came aboard two years later, thanks to the support of chairman Jon M. Huntsman. Visit seniorgames.net for more information and come listen to Case on Thursday.

The honor of business of the month is awarded to nominated Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce business members who have provided the highest level customer service, contributed extensively to area revenue and who are supportive of  Hurricane Valley organizations, charities, events and the Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Sky Mountain Golf Course is a public 18-hole golf course owned and operated by the city of Hurricane. It is located in the scenic red-rock country of Southern Utah and is part of the “Red Rock Golf Trail.” Sky Mountain is surrounded by Zion National Park and the Pine Valley Mountain Range.

Members of the Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce and interested business representatives are invited to attend the  luncheon.
