ST. GEORGE — According to the National Weather Service, this weekend’s weather for the majority of southwestern Utah will include mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures; however, Easter Sunday may include rain and snow in some areas.

St. George
Saturday
Mostly sunny with a high of 84 and low of 56, with southwest winds of 15-20 mph.
Sunday
Sunny with a high of 74 and low of 52, with south-southwest winds of 7-13 mph.

Cedar City
Saturday
Mostly sunny with a high of 70 and low of 45, with south-southwest winds of 6-16 mph. There’s a 20 percent chance of showers before midnight.
Sunday
Mostly sunny with a high of 60 and low of 40, with south winds of 11-13 mph. There’s a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.

Zion National Park/Springdale
Saturday
Partly sunny with a high of 74 and low of 42, with south-southwest winds of 11-16 mph. There’s a 20 percent chance of showers before midnight.
Sunday
Mostly sunny with a high of 63 and low of 37, with west-southwest winds of 7-11. There’s a 40 percent chance of showers.

Brian Head
According to the Brian Head Resort website, the area has received 0 inch of snow over the last 24 hours, maintaining a 79-inch base depth.
Saturday – high winds
Cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high of 44 and low of 28, with south winds of 20-26 mph and gusts as high as 40 mph.
Sunday
Cloudy with a high of 35 and low of 24, with southwest winds of 13-17 mph. There’s a 80 percent chance of snow showers. New snow accumulation of 1-3 inches possible.
Weather warnings and advisories
A hazardous weather outlook is in place for the areas of Utah’s Dixie, Zion National Park, Glen Canyon Recreation Area, Lake Powell and Southern Utah mountains.
With temperatures warming, mid and high elevation snowmelt will continue. This will lead to streams and rivers running high, fast and cold across the region through the remainder of the Spring. Monitor children and pets closely near these waterways.
