ST. GEORGE — An officer going undercover and posing as a 13-year-old female led to the arrest of a man in St. George this week.

Isaac Mancilla, 33, of St. George, began a text conversation with the undercover officer from the St. George Police Department, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in 5th District Court.

“Isaac and the female engaged in sexually explicit conversation, however nothing was discussed as far as Isaac engaging in sexual activity with the minor,” the arresting officer wrote in the statement, adding that Mancilla was aware of the female’s age.

It was noted that Mancilla asked the female for nude photos multiple times, specifically photos of her bare buttocks.

He was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, a third degree felony, after agreeing to meet the female at a specific location in St. George.

Mancilla’s arrest comes shortly after another undercover operation took place in the end of May that led to the arrest of eight people after officers posed online as female prostitutes.
