What’s on the Menu: Wing Nutz

ST. GEORGE — Sheldon Demke is at it again, hitting up one of his favorite spots in town with Marty Lane from 99.9 KONY Country in this tasty episode of “What’s on the Menu.”

Wing Nutz boasts 18 house-made sauces to choose from and the best baked wings in the business. They use only free-range, cage-free, hormone-free and steroid-free chicken. Orders are always baked in their state-of-the-art ovens, never fried.

“I love wings,” Demke said. “I’ll take them. I’ll take them all.”

The first item on the menu was something Demke hasn’t tried in his many previous visits, the chicken quesadilla with your choice of sauce. The duo opted for the jalapeño honey barbecue.

“So I love Mexican food, and the quesadilla was amazing,” Lane said. “I really liked pouring the salsa right onto the quesadilla and biting into that. Makes it delicioso!

Next, the pulled pork sandwich. Juicy, tender pork slathered with Southern honey barbecue sauce with red onion on a toasted bun, and bam! That’s heaven, Demke proclaimed.

“I know everybody does them, but there’s something special about the pulled pork sandwich here,” he added.

Of course, you can’t visit Wing Nutz without sampling some wings, so Demke and Lane chose the Oink & Cluck Combo of five baked chicken wings and two hog wings dipped in Carolina honey barbecue sauce. Lane hadn’t tried the hog wings before, but he gave them a 20 out of 10 rating.

Fancy a Nut Job? That’s Wing Nutz’s signature beer and the highlight of their great drink selection. And with live music and karaoke every week, it’s the perfect local watering hole.
