Gateway Academy performs Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr for community

A Truly Scrumptious Success!

This year Gateway’s drama, dance and choir students performed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr. at the Heritage Center Theater. Over the last few months, there have been rehearsals, prop making and roller coasters of emotions. Mrs. Clements-Fergason, our dance teacher and in-house professional ballerina, choreographed and taught the dance to those involved.

Mrs. Hughes, our choir teacher, trained and prepared students on the musical numbers. Mr. Cowley, our art teacher, built the car from scratch while drama students built the props. It was a true collaboration of the arts. The theater was filled with excitement and jitter the night of the performance and the crowd erupted in a standing ovation during the curtain call. Thanks to all those that came out and helped pack the theater. A big thanks to Mr. Fergason for making it all happen!
