ST. GEORGE — The Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) has announced its 2022 SUHBA Scholarship recipients. A total of $38,000 in college scholarships will be given out this year to 64 students and are made possible in part by funds generated from the annual SUHBA Charity Golf Tournament and the St. George Area Parade of Homes. SUHBA has distributed $289,000 for college scholarships since 2006.
SUHBA members believe in the value of education, and we are pleased to be able to give out these scholarships to deserving individuals. The giving doesn’t stop there! SUHBA members may attend the Utah Building Industry Conference held October 7th and other SUHBA education workshops for free. Additionally, $10,000 was allocated to support Dixie Technical College construction programs.
Providing scholarships is one of the many ways we live by our Mission Statement which is to support the home building industry and benefit its members, partners, and communities through education, relationships, advocacy, and service. The Southern Utah Home Builders Association is a trade association with over 700 building industry members throughout Washington, Kane, and San Juan Counties of Southern Utah. Each year, SUHBA awards scholarships to students attending college and/or technical institutions.
