ST. GEORGE – Summer is in full season in St. George and even though temperatures are hovering around 100 degrees, Town Square got a little bit cooler this week as performance groups and community members belted out tunes from Disney’s “Frozen.”
The chilled out fun started on Tuesday when the Leisure EEEE’s – a performance group with the City of St. George Leisure Services – took to the square to sing and dance to the Disney hit’s favorite tunes.

Made up of local talent, the group – all employees of the city – performs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the St. George Town Square.
Their primary purpose, director, Brianna Rosia, said, is to promote the city’s children’s programs and to get kids active.
“They get the kids up and moving at Town Square,” Rosia said.
Though they have many songs in their repertoire, the line up for this week’s performances included some of the most popular tunes from “Frozen” such as; “Summer,” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love Is an Open Door,” and “Let it Go,” sung with the help of the audience.
“We have fun with the kids,” group member, Yeonid Rivera, said, “We perform ‘Frozen’ and it is fun to see the kids sing with us and dance with us.”
The Leisure EEEE’s will perform weekly until July 31 and invite the public to come out and listen, and then dance and sing along with them.
The “Frozen” mania culminated on Friday evening at Sunset on the Square where hundreds gathered for the movie presentation and a little something special – a recorded community sing-along of “Let it Go.”
“It is really such a fun thing that has been on the internet,” event coordinator, Dawn Mclain said of the song, “and we wanted to do something fun and historic that really showcases what the community and what Sunset on the Square is all about.”
The party kicked off at 6 p.m. with games, food, vendors, prizes, dancing, water balloons and more. At dusk the attending crowd raised their voices in a triumphant version of the famous tune in what McLain hopes will become a viral video, she said.
There are three more chances to take advantage of the Sunset on the Square free movies.
Next up? Look to the sky as the Movie “The Flyboys” takes off for an evening of entertainment on July 25 with special guests including the director and some of the cast, McLain said.

Why are St George mormon men so offensive and violent? Despite how much they claim to be family oriented, they all seem to have a mean streak and quickly become violent. I wonder how many Keeping Utah Mormon men were toting guns around these kids. Probably a lot, and hoping for a chance to shoot someone too.
Some women in St George do look a little bit on the masculine side. Maybe they don’t have the male parts, but their square jaws, stockiness and butch hair cuts don’t give them a very feminine look, nor does their sweaty smell cause they want everyone to know they’ve been working out. Ewww and whew!

Someone told me St George is diaper town, everything oriented for little babies and old people. Looks this way by this event. I’m happy mommy and daddy have another opportunity to showcase their babies and demonstrate to everyone else how well they can co-play with their babies. BTW, did you see the vent complaint about a club that offers music announcing the music, due to lyrics, isn’t for your little babies? Are you kidding me? Do you people think you need to showcase your babies everywhere? Take them to the splashpad, the children’s museum, Frozen on the grass… but give us adults some freedom from your screaming, whining and annoying little brats once in a while. Jeez, it’s bad enough your city council bans everything for adults in your Diaper Town.
